The big move
Applications to secondary school must be made directly to the Local Authority that you are living in at the time of application, regardless of the borough in which the school is in.
E.g. If you are a resident in the London Borough of Harrow and would like to apply for a Brent school, you must apply directly to Harrow.
There are two ways to apply for a Secondary 2014 school place:
We recommend parents should complete the eAdmissions form as it is the easiest and safest way to apply.
If you are applying to private schools, you will need to consult the individual school directly about the admission process.
Visit the Brent LA website for more information about the process of applying to secondary school.
Secondary transfer open evening
You are warmly invited to our Secondary School Transfer Meeting. All parents of children in Year 5 and 6 should attend if possible. This will be your opportunity to ask questions about the process of transferring to secondary school. We have also invited representatives of local schools who will talk a little bit about their institutions.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday 17th September, 2013 from 6.30pm-7.30pm.
Open evening secondary schools
We advise that you always confirm open evening times directly with the school as some institutions expect you to book in order to attend.
Many schools hold open mornings, while the pupils are in. This offers a fantastic insight into the daily working of the school. We recommend that children in Year 5 attend open evenings and children in Year 6 attend open days.
