After lots of games and running around, the children enjoyed toasted marshmallows as the sun went down. This was followed by hot chocolate and a story before bed time... here's hoping for a good night's sleep!
Itinerary for the week
Monday - Visit RAF Cosford and orientation of the centre.
Tuesday - Visit a Victorian village. Evening to be spent doing sports activities.
Wednesday - Interactive science and DT museum. Talent show in the evening.
Thursday - Visiting Ironbridge. Bonfire and BBQ in the evening.
Friday - Scavenger hunt in the morning. Return to school, aiming for 3pm arrival.
The children have now arrived at their first activity - RAF Cosford and the fun is underway. Photos will be posted as they are received in school - internet connections permitting.
After being safely tucked up in their beds by 9:10 last night, all children are eager to get to their activities today. They are in the coach and currently on their way to a recreated Victorian town to find out more about a day in the life of a Victorian.
Latest update from Ironbridge - Thursday: all children are well and having a good time. Everyone's ready and raring to go for another day of exciting activities. Due to intermittent internet connection at the centre, we have not yet received photos of yesterday's activities. When we do, they will be posted...

Itinerary for the week
Day 1 - Travel to France via Eurotunnel and orientation of the accommodation and surrounds.
Day 2 - Visit to the French school for half a day and walk in the afternoon.
Day 3 - Visit to Paris.
Day 4 - Visit to Parc Asterix.
Day 5 - Visit an old market town and travel back to school.
After a very early start, Year 6 have arrived safely at their accommodation for the week and have been enjoying exploring in the sun. An early night for them all tonight...everyone in bed asleep now.
Today, the children visited their penpals in a French school. They had activities with them for a few hours. After lunch, they returned to the centre for a lovely walk around the lake.
After getting to sleep at a reasonable hour last night, all the children are excited to be visiting Paris today. First stop the Eiffel Tower...
Yesterday the children enjoyed a walk along the Seine (without too much grumbling), taking in the views of the Eiffel tower. They visited the fantastic Pompidou Centre and then went onto the the Sacre Coeur, after which they had a little time to spend their money...Today's activity is what will no doubt be the highlight for many - Parc Asterix theme park!

The children have been having a wonderful time this week, enjoying the outdoors in what turns out to have been great weather. Any photos we receive in school will be posted here.
