Lots of fun and excitement at the sleepover - games, toasted marshmallows, hot chocolate at storytime then a good(ish) night's sleep and breakfast on Saturday morning.
The children had a safe journey yesterday and by the time they stopped at Ironbridge itself for lunch, the sun was shining brightly and it was lovely and warm! The children spent the evening settling in and enjoying the facilities - lots of tennis, football, exploring etc.
Blists Hill visit
The children had a fantastic day at Blists Hill. They loved making bricks, riding the carousel and experiencing all the other aspects of a Victorian town (the sweet shop was particularly popular for some reason!).
Wreckin Hill climb
Yesterday the children conquered Wrekin and enjoyed the lovely views from the highest spot in Shropshire. When they got back to the centre they used pool and played in the grounds for rest of the day. Everyone's heading to the Enginuity museum today.
The children left the centre this morning and are making their way back to school. They will be stopping for an hour at RAF Muscun. When we have an eta, parents will be e mailed.
Year 6 are on their way back from France and are expected back at school around 7:30pm. Traffic is proving very slow moving however and there are delays on the road. At 6pm the coach is still on the M20.
After a very early start, our Year 6 children set off on their journey to France. Everyone has arrived at the Base De Loisirs safely. Keep an eye on this page for pictures and updates throughout the week...
Year 3 set off on a slightly shorter journey this morning, to Bushey, for their residential. The children and staff arrived safely and have already started on their activities.
Message from Year 3: Day 1
Having a great time!
We got into teams and went on a treasure hunt. Then we had a lovely lunch and a run around in the playing fields. Later on we went to the woods and made dens and went on a scavenger hunt. We had a delicious dinner and watched a movie before bed.
Year 3: Day 2
Everyone slept well - even the teachers slept a bit!
Everyone's up and dressed and ready to start a day full of activities...woodland adventures, minibeast hunts, games and then hot dogs around the camp fire, yum.
Fun and games on day 2
On the agenda for Year 3 today is a visit to the farm. They will be setting off back to school at 1:30. Everyone's having a great time but are very tired....all will sleep well tonight!
