Internet Safety

Our school takes internet safety and security very seriously. There are a number of documents and links here to help you and your child to stay safe on the internet.

Our Internet Safety Policy

We agree to:
  1. use ICT help us learn
  2. keep passwords and account details private
  3.  log on with our username and password
  4. use and search for material which is suitable for school
  5. follow school rules when using ICT resources and the internet

We know that we:
  1. never reply to messages from unknown senders
  2. never give out personal information over the internet
  3. never use the internet to find offensive material
  4. tell an adult if we see something we think we shouldn’t have
  5. are careful about the information we read on the internet because it might not be accurate
  6. ask an adult if we are unsure about opening a file

Our teachers must:
  1. check search terms and use child friendly search engines
  2. show us how to stay safe on the internet using the internet safety resources

The internet opens up a world of entertainment, opportunity and knowledge. To help your child to enjoy it all safely, the UK Council for Child Internet Safety (UKCCIS) has developed the Click Clever, Click Safe code.
